Career Pathway Program

Learn Strategies for Success in Career Development

Did you know 87% of university graduates have no clue what’s wrong in their plan for life after graduation or how to fix it?

  • If graduates do have a plan for success – they struggle to stay motivated to accomplish it.
  • If they have a great job – the work does not feel rewarding or meaningful.
  • If 20-somethings have a successful strategy in place – they are overwhelmed by that of everyone else’s.
  • If they seem to have everything – they still feel lost and directionless
  • If they have all the pieces right IN the plan – it is impossible to balance everything without getting burnt out.

This Program will ultimately prepare you to pick a college major and career that fit you. You will examine research and theory about the psychology of happiness, motivation, learning, and cognition (how the brain processes and retains information). You will discover what factors influence your motivation and strategies to use to help you be successful in your career.  You are ultimately expected to integrate and apply your new heightened self awareness and learning strategies to your own academic career to select a career path that fits your unique strengths, talents, aptitude, and interests so you can become a more efficient and effective student and subsequently a college graduate.

Some of the modules

Learn and create your career path through highly interactive one on one sessions where we will:

Find a Career, Not a Job.

A career is a long-term professional journey you may determine based on your passions. Individuals pursuing careers often have set salaries with benefits such as stock options, retirement plans, pensions and bonuses. They also gain benefits beyond money, such as personal pride, work satisfaction and self-worth.

Explore Interests with a Career Coach

Explore and participate in activities that will  help you develop an understanding of how your strengths, skills, interests and values relate to your choice of a major and career.

Informational interview

An informational interview is an informal conversation you can have with someone working in an area of interest to you. It is an effective research tool and is best done after preliminary online research. It is not a job interview, and the objective is not to find job openings.

Select a Target Career and Set Educational Goals

Create a well-defined statement explaining the profession that an individual intends to pursue throughout his career.

Build Career Growth Skills

Spending time on improving your Soft skills can help you achieve personal career goals such as earning a promotion or becoming an expert on a certain topic. This skill set can be applied to progress in your current career or expanded to earn a job in a different field or industry.

Rapid Planning Method (RPM)

Rapid Planning Method (RPM) is more than just an efficient time management system – it’s a whole new way of thinking. This is a powerful way for you to identify what’s most important to you and distill the steps you need to take to get there.
